Overview

A honeymoon to wrap up and hug. Iceland offers a post-apocalyptic and beautiful setting at the same time. It is ideal for couples who love driving (Ring Road), extreme geology and hot springs at 40 degrees while the outside temperature is near zero. Every bend in the road offers a waterfall more spectacular than the last.

Pros

  • Dramatic and unique landscapes (waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes)
  • Possibility of seeing Northern Lights (in winter)

Cons

  • It is an extremely expensive destination
  • Unpredictable, cold and windy weather even in summer
